The Compton Coalition for Smoke-free Air
Mission Statement:
For the many Compton residents who live in multi-unit housing, breathing secondhand smoke drifting from neighboring units, balconies, and outdoor areas is an ongoing and real health problem. The Compton Coalition for Smoke-free Air seeks to create a healthier Compton by protecting people from secondhand smoke exposure through the creation of smoke-free living environments.

Second-hand smoke kills more than 50,000 nonsmokers each year, about the same number of Americans die from murder, drugs, and AIDS combined.
